Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and FlawlessFormat, operated by André Antão. By accessing our website or submitting a document for formatting services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms in their entirety. If you do not agree with any provision of these terms, you must not use our services.
Description of Services
FlawlessFormat provides professional document formatting services for academic and professional documents. Our services include the formatting of theses, dissertations, research papers, journal manuscripts, reports, and other written materials according to specified style guides such as APA, MLA, Chicago, Harvard, IEEE, Vancouver, Turabian, OSCOLA, and institution-specific guidelines. We work exclusively with the technical presentation of documents. We do not write, edit, proofread, or alter the substantive content of any document. The ideas, research, arguments, and intellectual work within your document remain entirely your own.
Service Process and Payment
Upon submission of your document and formatting requirements, you will receive a fixed-price quote within 24 hours. This quote represents the total cost for the specified work and will not change unless you request additional services beyond the original scope. Once you approve the quote, payment of 50% of the total amount is required to secure your project slot and commence work. The remaining 50% is due upon delivery of the formatted document, after you have had the opportunity to review the work. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. FlawlessFormat does not store your payment card information.
Revisions and Satisfaction Guarantee
All service packages include revision rounds as specified at the time of quotation. If the delivered document does not conform to the formatting guidelines you provided, we will correct the issues at no additional charge. If we are unable to resolve the formatting issues to your satisfaction, you are entitled to a full refund of all payments made. This guarantee applies exclusively to formatting work and the adherence to guidelines you supplied. It does not extend to changes in requirements after project commencement, dissatisfaction with the content of your own document, or formatting preferences not communicated in the original brief.
Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate and complete formatting guidelines, including any style guides, templates, or institutional requirements applicable to your document. You must ensure that you have the legal right to submit the document for formatting services and that its formatting does not infringe upon any third-party rights. You acknowledge that you bear sole responsibility for the content of your document and for its submission to any institution, publisher, or other recipient. FlawlessFormat accepts no liability for the acceptance or rejection of your document by any third party.
Academic Integrity
Document formatting is a technical service, not an academic one. We do not engage in any form of academic dishonesty. We do not write, rewrite, or substantially edit your content. Most academic institutions explicitly permit the use of professional formatting assistance, as it is comparable to the use of printing or binding services. Nevertheless, you are responsible for understanding and complying with the academic integrity policies of your institution. If you have any doubt about whether formatting assistance is permitted in your context, we encourage you to consult your institution before proceeding.
Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of your document and all intellectual property rights therein. By submitting your document, you grant FlawlessFormat a limited, temporary licence to access, store, and modify the document solely for the purpose of providing the requested formatting services. This licence terminates upon project completion and file deletion. We claim no ownership or rights over your work. We will never use, publish, share, or reference your document for any purpose other than the provision of services to you.
Confidentiality
We treat all client documents as strictly confidential. Your document will not be shared with any third party, disclosed publicly, or used for any purpose beyond providing the agreed services. All files are permanently deleted from our systems within seven days of project completion. Upon request, we can provide a non-disclosure agreement for additional assurance. Our commitment to confidentiality survives the termination of our business relationship.
Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your project at any time before work commences and receive a full refund of any deposit paid. Once work has begun, refunds will be calculated on a pro-rata basis according to the work completed. If you cancel after receiving the completed document, no refund will be issued unless covered by the satisfaction guarantee described above. We reserve the right to cancel a project and refund all payments if we determine that we cannot meet your requirements or if unforeseen circumstances prevent completion.
Limitation of Liability
FlawlessFormat provides formatting services on an "as is" basis. While we strive for excellence in every project, we make no warranties regarding the acceptance of your document by any institution, publisher, or other party. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for services. In no event shall FlawlessFormat or André Antão be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or academic standing, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to this website. Your continued use of our services following the posting of changes constitutes acceptance of those changes. We encourage you to review these terms periodically. For ongoing projects, the terms in effect at the time of your quote approval shall govern that engagement.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Portugal.
